Ubuntu Control Center is an excellent application for those who want to centralize various options and settings of Ubuntu in one place, in which items are grouped according to categories, this application can be used by any user without problems.
The great advantage of using Ubuntu Control Center is that you do not need to be looking for options and system settings in the midst of the Ubuntu menus. Just open the Ubuntu Control Center and click on the desired option without delay!
To use the Control Center Ubuntu without problem on your computer, you must first install a few dependencies
First of all download and install Font-manager:
wget http://font-manager.googlecode.com/files/font-manager_0.5.5-4_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i font-manager_0.5.5-4_i386.deb
Then, download and install Jstest-gtk
wget http://ucc.googlecode.com/files/jstest-gtk_0.1.0-1~getdeb1_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i jstest-gtk_0.1.0-1~getdeb1_i386.deb
Install hardinfo
hardinfo is in the Ubuntu repository, so install it with:
sudo apt-get install hardinfo
Finally install Ubuntu Control Center
wget http://ucc.googlecode.com/files/ucc_051_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i ucc_051_i386.deb
Once installed, you will find Ubuntu Control Center listed under Applications > System Tools.
The left side lists categories namely: Software Management, Hardware, Network and Internet, System, Local Disks and Personal Settings. Click on a category and the right pane updates to reveal the configuration tools available in that particular category.
