Free Video Transcoding Software for Linux and Windows OS - viDrop

viDrop is free video transcoding software for GNU/Linux and Windows operating systems. With its help you can easily convert your favourite movies or videos into format, playable on your Smarthone, Tablet, MID, Portable Media Player etc.

viDrop Features:

viDrop Installation:
Open the terminal and type following command to add the repository so that you can keep viDrop updated:
sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://download.learnfree.eu/repository/skss / #SKSS"
wget http://download.learnfree.eu/repository/skss/repo.pub.asc -q -O- | sudo apt-key add -
Type following command to install viDrop:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vidrop
After successful installation, you can open the viDrop from Unity 'Dash'


You can also use Arista - Multimedia transcoder to do the same job

Nikesh, most free video converter's are pretty roughly designed though, however I came across this awesome video converter that was both free and had all the commercial features/look. I hope my share helps you.
