Video defaults to 800x600 despite my monitor and video doing 1280x1024 without breaking a sweat. Wireless takes days if not weeks to get right. And of course, once everything's installed, it only takes an upgrade of one or two packages to break it all.<BR/><BR/>I agree with you that many Windows installs by default don't have a working NIC, and without that, you can't do much.
